Children's Story TimeShare the joy of reading with a child. The Children's Story Time is for 2 thru 4 year old children to share new and exciting adventures through stories, crafts and songs. They listen and interact with stories read by enthusiastic community volunteers. Parents, grandparents, and friends are encouraged to bring preschool children to Story Time to experience together the warmth of the library and the joy that books can bring. Come and join the fun. The program is always looking for readers, musicians and interested volunteers. For more information, contact the Library at 863-6922. The Children’s Story Time Time: 10:00 a.m. (Please check with the library or note the Story Time poster for dates.) This year the program is chaired by Annette Fry.
Book DiscussionsThe Sacandaga Book Club began in Oct 2009. The group decides on titles and leaders for each discussion. They meet at the library usually on the second Tuesday of each month. In the summer, the library holds book discussions coordinated by the Mohawk Valley Library System. These discussions have facilitators who are published authors, often from colleges and universities in the Capital District. A schedule can be found at this link: http://www.mvls.info/current-projects/ The following link is to a free online directory of face-to-face book groups. And it's zip-code based (take the 'search' link at the top of their page). ![]() |
